The Elvis Box.......??

Lori Craig had a tutorial on Cornish Heritage Farms called the Elvis Hostess Gift Box and I finally uploaded it and decided to make it.

Ya, ya, I know .....you're saying "This isn't any Elvis box!"

Well, believe it or not, I don't own the "Blue Christmas Elvis" stamp that Lori used in her tutorial but it makes a fabulous Gift Box, stamped in Brilliance Blue - just gorgeous!!

I had to substitute it for the Red Christmas Angel box!! which I am lovin' anyway!

I stamped the Aged Sheet Music Scrapblock onto the white prism cardstock in Papertrey Ink poppy red, I didn't have any brilliance red, or I would have used that, to make it all shimmery and pretty..

Then I proceeded to made the box and lid as per Lori's instructions, which you can get easily by joining the Cornish Heritage Farm forum - and it's free - double goodness........

The top of the box is White Prism cardstock and the bottom of the box is Prism Blush Red Dark and I stamped it and scored it and folded it and sponged it (I was a busy busy girl!) and it magically transformed itself into a box!!

I am always
floored by these things.......I can't believe that I could do that because I do not "make" things! I mean, I can usually make a card, but crafty stuff just doesn't fly with me!!

Ah, then I made a rectangle with my scalloped nestabilities and stamped the trumpeting angel with the sentiment from Christmas Expressions!

I tied it onto the box with Flourishes sheer ribbon - which I am also lovin' - I love everything today!

So here is the finished product and you guessed it! I am lovin' it!!

I had my physical today and I swear the Doctor was more nervous than I was!

He has been my doctor for the last 15 years (crossing my fingers he is there until the end!!) and every year he talks about the dumbest thing while he is doing that "pap"...... Last year he rambled on about the new energy efficient light bulbs while I lay there staring at the ceiling tiles.

This year his chosen topic was colonoscopies and now that I am 50 I should consider having one.

I didn't have the heart to tell him that he ordered one for me last year - which I still haven't done. I just laid there staring at the new blob that was on the ceiling tiles and wondering where in the heck that came from....... anyway done for another year......Yay!

Well, I am off to Holly's math class today...............!
