Little Paper Shop

ETA: Here is a link to a tutorial that is similar to this called Poppin' Pastels - same type of thing I just used it as a background instead of focal point

My
Little Paper Shop Monday is getting later all the time! In my defence I would have posted this morning but my computer has been so cracked up today.

I couldn't get on to the sites I wanted and then when I did the links wouldn't work so I got up and gave it a rest. Reboot. Reboot. Smack. Reboot.

Now it seems to be okay, but I am going to post quickly..........

I used the embossing with chalk ink technique - I don't know if that is really a technique or not.....lol! but that is what I am calling it!

I stamped the flowers from the Butterflies and Blossoms set in Versamark onto glossy paper.

Then I
took my sponge dabbers and dabbed them into various colours of Versamagic chalk inks and just sponged in a circular motion until the piece of glossy paper was full of colour!

I mounted that onto black cardstock and then onto Papertrey Ink Spring Moss cardstock.

The sentiment, from Cornish Heritage Farms and called Motivational Centers, was stamped on with Staz-on black.

The butterflies, from the same stamp set, are stamped with Versamark onto clear acrylic sheets.

Hampton Arts embossing powder was sprinkled onto them in two different colours and carefully heat embossed - you don't want to melt the poor things!

They were then cut out and gently folded a little. I rolled up a couple of glue dots into a cigar shape and attached them to the underside of the fold and then attachedthe whole butterfly to the card.

Thanks for looking today!!
