Homemade Wrapping Paper

We have a wedding this weekend and since our families all pooled our money together for gifts, there were several boxes to wrap and bag, so we wanted to make it as $$$ friendly as possible!

This was such a wonderful and easy way to save money and make a special gift even special-er.......uhm....probably not a word.......and we even got to stamp, so what could be better than that! ;)

My son-in-law picked up a 40' roll of kraft paper at Staples for Marcie and I to stamp. We measured out each piece to wrap each gift and then started stamping!!

We used Papertrey Ink Damask stamp set, Imaginisce Damask foam stamp, black memento ink and Papertrey Ink True Black ink for our project.

Using the largest Damask image from Papertrey Ink, this really went quite quickly and we were very pleased with the results! At one point I was a little worried that the ink would come through the Kraft paper onto my kitchen table, but there was only a little splotch or two on the back of the paper and the table was fine.

Ooooo!! Look how speedy Marcie works...... haha! And the toys in the background for the kids to play with while we worked - the binoculars are there so we can spy on our neighbours.....

Oh for pity's sakes......there is no card........d'oh!!
