Twinkling Tuesday Challenge!

Today's Twinkling Tuesday challenge is another sketch from our Madelynn and here is the fun and easy (thank goodness!!) sketch today!!

I chose to finally get out my Gina K Designs stamps that I have not given any love to for ages!! My hairdresser commented that the funny birthday cards always get scooped up first, and she was right out of them, so I told her I had a funny little set that would tickle her funny bone!!

Are you groaning??! This stamp set from Gina K Designs is called "You Know You're Old When" and it is cute and funny and so easy to paper piece and colour!

I followed the sketch pretty much with a little switch-a-
roo on the sentiment.

The "50" is from the Gina K Designs stamp set created by Melanie Muenchinger called "Just So Sporty", and it has these numbers along with sweatshirts and tons of other words such as basket and ball and dance and hockey. So many things you can put on those sweat shirts!!

I paper pieced this cute old guy's pants and tie and coloured the rest of him with copics.

I used my "snow" dabber and added a little bit of whiteness around the edges of Ocean Tides cardstock to resemble white hair!

The Stamping UP designer paper is sewed onto the cardstock and then I ran it through the Argyle Cuttlebug folder to give it an added bit of texture.

I added some Ocean Tides ribbon around the corners, just to spruce it up a bit because let's face it......how many 50 year old men appreciate flowers and ribbons when open
ing up cards in front of their buddies?!

The "50" was stamped with Stamping Up Basic Gray ink and then I wrote over it with a black shimmer glazed pen. While the ink was still wet, I sprinkled on some embossing powder and heat set it just to make it standout and shimmer - just enough to make it a bit different!

I cut it out with the circle nestabilities and then cut out a piece of cardstock with a yellow scalloped punch. I can't figure out why they don't write jumbo, super jumbo, mega - whatever on those punches!! I don't know what size it is - it's just yellow.

I finished the inside of the card because it would have been very silly to just leave the front and no end to that sentiment lol!!

Hope you liked it today! Check out the other Twinkling Tuesday Gals today (on my sidebar) and our featured stamper this week on the blog!! If you would like to play along with our sketch, use the keyword MTTSC12 when you upload your card!

Taylor Usry, one of my team members from Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesdays, gave me this wonderful award the other day and I am just now posting it. I am extremely honoured Taylor that you would choose me and I thank you mucho gracias!!

I am not going to post 5 bloggers because it is too difficult to pick just 5 and I would cry at the stress.... lol! You don't want to see that.....
