Love ya - retro style!

Good morning! I'm playing in the Retro Sketch challenge this week - such a fabulous sketch with so many possibilities!

Here is the sketch

I love the "sun ray" background so I used my Papertrey Ink's Sparkle & Shine patterned paper for a quick start ;) adding a strip of gold foil cardstock at the bottom.

....and gold embossing??! I'm all over it - I gold embossed the flowers from CAS-ual Fridays Wonderful Words and the leaves from Pretty Posies and adhered them to my patterned paper.

The sentiment, from CAS-ual Fridays Girlfriend stamp set was stamped in Hawaiian Shores ink and then fussy cut.

I popped it up, onto the gold embossing and added a few gold sequins because I CAN!! Wahoo!

Oh my gosh, all that goldness goodness (hah!) is so pretty.....

Why don't you play along in the Retrosketch challenge?  There is still a lot of time left - (I KNOW - I wasn't late wowowowowow!!)

Do What Makes Your Heart Happy!

Good Morning - and it's time for coffee (waaay past time!)  - and hearts!

This week's inspiration at The Challenge has a Rainbow Heart theme !!- and I just happen to love rainbows - doesn't everyone?

Since the Gansai Tambi water-colour paints are so brilliant and beautiful, I painted up an easy rainbow on water-colour paper.

Using Cas-ual Friday's Heart Board Fri-Dies, I die cut the hearts from my rainbow paper, being careful to keep them altogether - I love them apart and I love them together!  I just used a piece of tape on the back of the hearts so I could move them around until I had finished with my fiddle diddling.

I needed to add something else - and I really, really, really wanted to add twine - it's a daily struggle I tell ya. I finally settled on some semi-messy gold thread looped around a red button.  I mean - GOLD at the end of the rainbow!!!

Perfect. I'm just brilliant.

I used the remaining water colouring for the base, layering white cardstock overtop.

I stamped the sentiment from Cas-ual Fridays Big Treble on my white cardstock and popped up the water coloured heart dies!

So pretty and so very trendy!  Take a peek over at The Challenge and link up those rainbow creations!

You're My Person

You're My Person……how many times have you heard that saying? - I absolutely love it - but then anything Grey's Anatomy is GREAT in my book!

This week's CAS(E) this Sketch lends itself to these cute little love arrows from CAS-ual Friday's Cupid's Arrows Stamps and Heart Board Fri-Dies!

I die cut the Fri-Die arrows and then stamped each one with a different sentiment from Cupid's Arrows.

I used my Hero Arts Ombre ink pad for each sentiment - since the ink pad has three separate colours, I was able to stamp each sentiment in a new colour - still creating a cool ombre effect! - I'm just so smart Lol!!

….and….because I can NOT make a proper Clean and Simple card to save my life (dang!)- I needed to add the extra embellishments.  The cute little heart is also a part of the Heart Board Fri-Dies…..it makes a ton of open hearts - very fun!

As always, if you want to purchase these CAS-ual Friday products - and why wouldn't you?- use the special code on my sidebar for a 15% discount - What's that you say??! - YES - a 15% discount - just use the code Bonnie2016 - woop! woop!

From Sunny Florida!

Good morning and welcome back - I am wintering in Florida and using our new Mac - now THAT is a learning curve - so hopefully my post will work out all right!

I haven't stamped since, well it seems like forever, so I took advantage of the fact that hubby had flown home for a few day and (bought a few MFT stamps) and did some stamping!

My Favorite Things has started a monthly Colour Palette Challenge happening and so I decided to go for it with the few essentials I have with me!

This month the challenge colour are pink, black and white - a favourite naturally!

Thank you to Angela Rivera for helping me with my uploading - this Mac maybe the end of my wits as I know them Lol!

You Warm My Heart

It's a good day for another My Favorite Things creation - don't you think?

I am definitely stuck on these cuties and today I have inked up one of the new Doodle Garden MFT Stamps called I'm Raptor Round Your Finger.

I used this weeks MFT sketch and followed along pretty well.

The little "Raptor" was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with my copics, following along with Michele Boyer's tutorial in the MFT Academy regarding texture using pointillism with Copic markers. I knew this was a technique but I had never heard of the proper name.

The Die-namics Layered Heart border was the perfect border to use and I added a white "shadow" heart border too!

Thanks for visiting today!

Whoo Loves You?

I do!!....

This MFT Pure Innocence Owl Costume is not just for Hallowe'en of course.....I have made it into a lovey card today....

Following the latest MFT sketch - MFTWSC120 (My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Club 120 in case you didn't know....) I created a sweet card for today!

Are you sick of the Crate Paper Fourteen papers yet? Lol! I am using them so much lately and I think they are gorgeous!

I stamped and coloured my  little Pure Innocence Owl girlie, using the MFT Academy tutorial for colouring hair - I don't think it is dark enough though....next time.....

The Sheltering Tree Die-namics worked perfectly with my image and it makes a great "offset" to the Die-namics Button Border.   I threaded some black and brown twine through the Button Border and tied the double bow at the top.

The banner flags are from the Die-namics Mix and Match Banners! A little sewing and popping up things here and there - and onto the inside!

Thank for coming and visiting today!!
