SP and Company Release Blog Hop!

Good Morning and welcome to another Release from Scrapmaster's Paradise!

I don't think I am in the hop because I am pre-posting this and am still on vacation wahoo!

This month we have a new release colour and it is GREEN!! So if you would like to join us we would love for you to add your link of your (mainly) green creation to our SP and Company blog!

Don't forget that the random prize patrol is watching so leave a comment on every blog to be eligible for the prizes!! The more blogs you comment on, the better your chances are of winning something fun!

We have a few sets and some singles being released this month! One of the sets is called All Zipped Up and consists of zippers!! I LOVE it!

Sorry I don't have a tutorial for this dress card.....I just sort of winged it and it turned out!

I can tell you that I started with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 piece of green cardstock and then, using my round punches, I punched a neck and the sleeves. Then, using my scissors, I cut a v-neck.

I stamped the one half of the zipper along both sides of the "v" and then stamped the zipper thingy (I can't think of the right word lol!) twice. I cut out one of the thingy's and popped it up on top of the other one, tied a bit of twine and added the sentiment!

I adhered a white "sleeveless shirt" behind the neck of the dress and the pockets were cut with my rectangle nestabilities. Using my corner chomper I chomped 1/4" from each bottom corner of my pockets and adhered them to the "dress"

Then, taking my black Tombow marker, I faux stitched around the edges. The finale was a pretty felt rose with a pearl in the center!

Make sure you check out the SP Blog to see what Samantha did with the new stamps! We also have the Stamp Team and the Challenge Team teaming up today to show you lots of amazing projects with the newest stamp sets!

Birthday Wishes....

Good morning!!

Sorry I haven't been around this week ....I have had MAJOR computer problems so I have been slowly working them out with my provider.

Since we are rural internet, I have to call my provider, then be transferred over the the rural internet provider only to find out it wasn't only the computer, but  my modem wasn't working properly either -Smiley from millan.net of course no one could tell me that without being on the phone for 2 hours - bah!  ....and if you think you don't understand any of that - me neither!!

Anyway, enough whining and let's move onto today's Scrapmaster's Paradise creation! YAY!!

I started by stamping the background with the Little Floral Background Stamp in Kraft ink and adhered to my card base.

I went simple this week, digging out my Stamping UP! Top Note die and cutting two different patterned papers from the Basic Grey Kissing Booth collection.

I stamped the sentiment, which is from Ultimate Sentiments II and has the most beautiful font, onto the "plain" patterned paper and adhered a line of bling underneath to highlight it! (by the way, the Ultimate Sentiments I is back in stock!)

Then I added some gorgeous Prima roses with the fern being punched from Martha Stewart's fern punch.

I love birthdays!! Have a great day!

SP and Company Release Blog Hop!

Good Morning and welcome to the Scrapmaster's Paradise Blog Hop Release!
If you arrived here from Patty's blog then you are on the right track! If you just popped in - Hello and Good Day! - welcome to our hop!  You may want to start at the beginning so you don't miss a luscious thing!

This month's color is Bright Red! After you're done hopping around today, make sure you play along with this month's Red challenge (click here for details) for a chance to win some awesome SP and Company prizes!

Well, I took that colour and ran with it - I LOVE red and of course, since it is Valentine's Day - how perfect!!

This card is more of a Congratulations card as you can see! I thought it was perfect for someone who has just received a promotion or is going off to the big city - something like that!

My new stamp this month is the Diamond Backgrounder - I stamped it to be my skyline backdrop again the Echo Park Yours Truly 12 x 12 stickers. Then I embossed the base of the circle with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder - one of my all-time greats!

The designer papers are also from the Echo Park Yours Truly 12 x 12 kit!

The sentiment is from Bold Sentiments I Stamp Set and I stamped it onto one of the SVG cut files that are available in the store!

My next card also uses the Echo Park Yours Truly stickers and paper! When you're on a roll......

I used my new SP & Company's Diamond Backgrounder for just a bit of variation on the image - right under the sticker sentiment - kind of fun!

Okay now!! - please continue on the Blog Hop by jumping over to Susan's Blog - I know she has something fabulous to share!!

Stitched Together....

Today is Friday and that means another Scrapmaster's Paradise blog post!

I am sticking with a Valentine's Day theme with my card today! and besides Moxie Fab has a new Tuesday Trigger up and I am going to enter it into that fabulous challenge and be on time for this one!

I have some new papers from Basic Grey called Kissing Booth and I cut them into strips and adhered them onto a piece of cardstock.

Then I sewed the edges with zig zags - and my sewing machine began to skip stitches - ugh! But I just went with it and it is pretty darn cute!

I then cut out the heart shape with my Heart Nestabilities - plain and scalloped.

The sentiment is from Sewing Chic - stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa, lots of pearls and a Jenni Bowlin button with twine to finish it off!

You are Awesome!

Today is Friday, so that means it is my day to show off a Scrapmaster's Paradise creation!

I decided to use a new designer paper (to me!)from My Mind's Eye called Sunshine - I love it and the only place I could find it was at my local scrapbook store, The Paper Pickle. Hi Pickle girls!!

I matched it up with a Scrapmaster's Paradise stamp set called Mix 'n Match Sentiments:Friends, a fabulous set with all sorts of fun sentiments to mix and match!

I used this week's Sketch challenge at Splitcoaststampers - I think it is probably a keeper - I love this sketch!

I added some stitching which I love to do and some diecuts to accentuate the sentiment!

A winner will be chosen at random to receive one SP stamp set of winner's choice. Entries are due Tuesday, January 17th at 11:59PM EST.

and here is my card that I made

The stamp set is from Scrapmaster's Paradise and is called Sewing Chic! I stamped the main image (although there are several images) in Smokey Shadow ink and the sentiment also.

The coloured cardstock is Basic Gray by Stamping UP!, Lemon Tart and Fine Linen - Papertrey Ink.  I ran them through my Cuttlebug with the Die-Namics Jumbo Ric Rac and layered them together to create my colours.

The little flower is from the Die-namics die called Prima Donna Petals from My Favorite Things!

I'm on the SP Stamps Blog this morning doing my Fancy Post with this project - take a boo over and see how it's done!

6 Jan 2012

Thank you for everything!

Well hello there! It's Friday and that means it is a Scrapmaster's Paradise day!

I have really been using my Lilybee Designer papers A LOT lately, and today is no exception. It can turn  an everyday sentiment into an elegant creation!

By using the designer paper with black in it, I think it really plays on the sentiment and pops it right out there!  The sentiment is from Bold Sentiments I and that stamp set is FULL of everyday sentiments in that pretty font!

Of course I couldn't leave it without some twine.....twine hog that I am these days! I also did a bit of sewing along the edges of the card.......love it!

The cute-sy flower is from an MFT die that I own and the frames around the SP & Company sentiment is from The Cat's Pajamas!  I'm a die hog too!

Please check out the Scrapmaster's Blog and the SP Stamps Blog! They are full of inspirational tutorials - today and every single day!

Merry Christmas!

Well, this is surely late but from the bottom of my  heart, I wish you a Merry Christmas!

We hosted Christmas this year for Ron's family - 32 people at first, then it was trimmed down to 30......so that was a first for us!

But everything went wonderfully and the gift exchanges are always so fun with people stealing each others gifts - it went on for along time - just long enough for us to be able to sneak away to the kitchen and prepare our meal while the others played!

Everyone brings a dish or two, so all we had to do the turkey, mashed potatoes, a vegetable and a dessert - yummy and awesome and I am so glad I don't have to do it for another 4 years Lol!

Here is another Christmas card that was made this season and not posted. I used The Scrapmaster's Paradise Bold Sentiment II Holidays, and I had a few little note stickers from October Afternoon's Very Merry sticker sheet that I used with the sentiment! Perfect!

I hope to be back tomorrow or the next day.....celebrations are still ongoing!

17 Dec 2011

Cold Hands, Warm Heart

Today's card has another sentiment from Scrapmaster's Paradise's Big Sentiment II Holidays - love this set and I have gotten a lot of use from it this year!

I am hosting Christmas this year for my hubby's family - I thought there were 27 of us but someone told me last night to count again!! and there are 32 so what are 5 more?  yikes!!

I am also adding this in the

DYSU Challenge Blog - Winter
Crafty Boots challenge - Christmas
My Sheri Crafts - Snowflakes

Come All Ye Faithful...

Good Day, I am sitting here eating ketchup potato chips and trying not to get crumbs on/in my keyboard....and since it is the bottom of the bag - I'm not having much luck hehe!

It's a celebration of sorts for me because.....drumroll.....brrrrrrrrrrr..... I am now a Design Team Member for Scrapmaster's Paradise!!!!

Scrapmaster's Paradise is an online store that has their own line of fabulous stamps and also carries other scrap and stamp supplies!!

There are also a 3 Kits of the Month Club that are available - go to this link and scroll to the bottom to see the explanation of the kits that include ECHO PARK designer paper!!!

Now, onto my project!

This month's Scrapmaster's Paradise Release Blog Hop colour is GREEN!! That is - that you need to make a creation with your primary colour being green - think pine green!! Naturally I was a rebel, (plus I had nothing that seemed like pine green).

I have a beautiful small pad of K & Company's Julianne patterned paper and it is full of green's and blue's so I used one of those papers for my designer paper and zig zagged it onto my card base.

My angel die cut was adhered to a panel of Kraft cardstock that was run through a Crafts Too embossing folder.

The sentiment is from Scrapmaster's Paradise Bold Sentiments II Holidays - one sentiment stamp set which I have used all through this season!!
