Sending Love.....

Good morning!! and before my post today, I would like to tell you to please make sure that you make your way over to Anya and Lynn's blog, and of course Claire's for their previews of Waltzingmouse Stamps new sets being released on March 1st!! (after you read my post of course!)

This is my last post for Humble Pie stamps and I have thoroughly enjoyed being their guest designer for the month of February! Their stamps are made of deeply etched rubber and the little images have the sweetest expressions on their faces. The team is awesome and have great challenges every week!! Check them out won't you!

The challenge this week was to make an easel card. I have never made one so it really WAS a challenge for me. I found my tutorial from Splitcoaststampers but the Humble Pie blog also has a tutorial right here!

Check it out to find out how you can win some free stamps!!

Grandma and Roses.......

I am excited to be back for Day Two and bringing you another peek at the wonderful sets that are being released March 1st at Waltzingmouse Stamps!

Follow along with Laurie and I today, and of course don't forget to check out the Waltzingmouse Stamps blog every day, as we show you some of the creations we have made with our new stamp sets!

As you saw on my blog yesterday, one of the stamp sets being released next week is called Vintage Labels No. 3 which is made for, obviously, the Spellbinders Labels 3 Nestabilities. Today I have another peek at the Vintage Labels No. 3 set along with a new set called Roses in Bloom.

Just look at these gorgeous roses! Don't they just look like the wild roses that grow along the fences at the back of the farm??!

Actually, the rose itself consists of three of the stamps all layered together, of course you don't have to layer them, the bottom two layers are on October Afternoon designer paper and the top layer of the rose is a white cardstock layer which I coloured with my copics.

Each layer is popped up on the previous layer and the petals are rounded up a bit by softly folding the petals upwards. Love the look!

The leaves and the background are on new digital papers that will soon be available from Waltzingmouse Stamps - I just couldn't resist using them right now.....Yes.... I get good and giddy with these new supplies!!(You are right Angela lol!)

I added a beautiful Zva Creative Pearl swirl under the rose, and then an oval shape for the sentiment which is also part of the Roses in Bloom stamp set!

The inside of my card also has another sentiment and a little rosebud that is the sweetest thing - totally luscious!

My next card uses the yet-to-be-released Vintage Labels No. 3 stamps.  I chose to cut out the middle and add the circle which was stamped with the Vintage Circles Small and a sentiment from Spring Baskets. The sentiment at the bottom of the card is also from Spring Baskets!

I love the beautiful colours on this card - the plum, aqua and turquoise of this K & Company designer paper is so gorgeous and Easter-y!

I hope you have a wonderful spring-y day, no matter what the weather!

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!

Oh wow! I haven't been able to participate the last couple of months in Papertrey Ink's blog hops but this month I found a couple of minutes to make my card - and when CASING is the theme.....well, it just makes it that much easier don't you think?!!

I cased my card from this card of Betsy Veldman's - I've provided the link and the actually photo for you....absolutely LOVE her creations and her work is just all around so pretty and detail-ish!!

BETSY"S CARD

I used Baby Button Bits to make my card and used the very same layout and everything - just changed up the stamp set and papers.... I'm pretty lazy that way! lol!

MY CARD

I didn't use my copics to shadow the image, because frankly I figured I would probably mess it up. I am taking a  copic class in another couple of weeks with Linda Heavens and am planning on learning that technique at the class.(okay Linda?! lol!)

Instead of using  Background Basics Text Style I got out my Background Basics Retro, which I think was a good fit for this card and designer paper.

I did use my sewing machine but discovered (dang it!) that it had my beige thread in instead of my white thread which would have made for a far better finish....ah well....such is cardmaking....

Thanks for popping around tonight!!

Stamps: Baby Button Bits, Background Basic Retro (Papertrey Ink)
Paper: Orange Zest, Vintage Cream (Papertrey Ink); Garden Variety (Cosmo Cricket)
Ink: New Leaf (Papertrey Ink)
Accents: Orange Zest ribbon, New Leaf button, twine (Papertrey Ink), foam tape (Taylored Expressions), Martha Stewart edge punch, my funky sewing machine

Happy Mother's Day!

Hello everyone!! I am so excited to be bringing you a sneak peek of a new stamp set from Waltzingmouse Stamps. There are three marvelous sets being released this month and I am going to be showing you two of the sets in the next couple of days!

I am not officially on the log to preview today, that is Lisa and Julia's and of course Claire's pleasure, but I have been making so many previews that I thought I would "unofficially" post one of my cards today -oh yes,  aren't I the rebel??! lol!

My stamp set that I am using today is called Labels 3 and of course it is one of Claire's brilliant sets that are fabulously Nestability friendly--with the Spellbinders Labels 3 dies!

Using the Labels 3 Nestability die I cut out a frame, sponged some vintage ink around the edges and adhered it to my card. I added a gorgeous Zva Creative Crystal's Pearl swirl (mouthful at that....) on top of that frame.

Then I stamped one of the images in the NEW Labels 3 stamp set in Sweet Blush ink and I cut it out with my Labels 3 nestability and inked around these edges also.

Then I stamped one of the floral images from the  Spring Baskets set, because I love it, (love them all - what's a girl to do?!)into the middle of the frame and then stamped it again, coloured it and cut it out.  I then popped it up onto the first stamped floral image.

I added the "Happy Mother's Day" sentiment and a piece of ribbon with a button attached and it was done!

My designer paper is from K & Company and was the perfect background to show off these gorgeous images!

Be sure to check out Lisa, Julia and Claire's blogs to see more of the sneak peeks......shhhh....don't tell them I cheated! lol!  and please be sure to slip back here tomorrow when I will have another peek at this stamp set and more!

Stamps: Spring Baskets, Labels 3 (Waltzingmouse Stamps)
Paper:  Rustic Cream (Papertrey Ink), Madeline (K & Company)
Ink: Sweet Blush (Papertrey Ink); Rich Cocoa (Memento), Antique Linen, Vintage Photo (Ranger); copics
Accents: ribbon, button, twine (Papertrey Ink), Pearl Flourish (Zva Creative)

Little Paper Shop Colour Challenge

If you are looking for the Waltzingmouse Stamps Customer Blog Hop, please scroll down! Thank you!

Today is a colour challenge for Little Paper Shop

The colours are kiwi, chocolate and kraft - how delicious!

I love green and this Cosmo Cricket paper from "Material Girl" was just the ticket for this sentiment I used. Those lovely ladies in their dresses are just perfect!

I stamped one of the little doo-hickeys from the Little Paper Shop set {Beautiful Things} in Memento Rich Cocoa down a piece of kraft cardstock for a bit of decoration.

The leaf image under the sentiment is from {Moments} and I stamped that in Spring Moss ink and stamped the sentiment from {Make a Wish}, one of my favorite sets for birthdays, right over top!

Leave a comment on the Little Paper Shop Blog and you will be entered to win {Floral Frenzy}.

And here is the Little Paper Shop DT:

Waltzingmouse Stamps Customer Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome to the Waltzingmouse Stamps Customer Blog Hop! where all of our thoughts are turning to SPRING!!

If you are just popping in, you may want to go to the beginning of the hop and that would be at Claire's blog where you will find the master list and you can find your way around and see lots of Waltzingmouse Stamps creations!!

If you are following along the hop, you have just come from Kate's blog !

I used the stamp set Blessed by You and decided to make the tree all light and pretty by inking it up in different pretty spring colours!

After the stamp was attached to my acrylic block I used my Versamagic dew drops to add ink to the image. It is pretty easy with the dew drops and you can be quite precise with your addition of ink!

I stamped the leaf image in Versamagic Tea Leaves ink and cut it out to add as an embellishment to my card.

The sentiment is from Spring Baskets - and I absolutely LOVE this sentiment - it makes me just burst with excitement for spring!

Now follow along the hop to the fabulous Julie Masse's blog where I know she has something fabulous to show you!!

Stamps: Blessed by You, Spring Baskets, (Waltzingmouse Stamps) Paper: Coral (Prism); Ocean Tides, Stampers Select White (Papertrey Ink); Scenic Route; K & Company Ink: Turquoise Gem, Aloe Vera, Pink Grapefruit (Versamagic dew drops); Coffee Bean (Brilliance) Accessories: button (Papertrey Ink), Pearls (Jenni Bowlin), Martha Stewart picket fence punch, foam tape (Taylored Expressions)

Humble Pie Challenge Day!

Good morning! It's time for another Humble Pie Stamps challenge! If you remember I mentioned last week that I was asked to be the Humble Pie Stamps guest designer for a month - so exciting and boy they wonderfully cute stamps!!
Humble Pie Stamps are sold exclusively at the Town Scrapper, so contact Phebe - all that information on the website!
This week's challenge is all about embellishments, or rather just ONE embellishment! - aye-yi-yiiii - said I! We were only to use one type of embellishment.....eeek!

I decided to go with ribbon and tied my ribbon across the middle of the card.

I have inked up "Dusty" a Humble Pie stamp, with Memento Black Ink and coloured him with my copics.

I love the Basic Grey June Bug paper, and I decided to make a few big "brads" for a bit more decoration, with paper of course, since I could not use another embellishment!

I wasn't sure if the tag was considered an embellishment so I snuck it in anyway. So far. So good.

If you would like to enter this challenge, head over the the Humble Pie Stamps blog and read all about it!

A Tisket, a Tasket.....and more fun things!!

Lots of fun things happening at Waltzingmouse Stamps!!

First off, we are having a customer blog hop scheduled for Monday February 22nd!!  Yes, you are invited to join us and to use your Waltzingmouse Stamps!! Upload to Mr. Linky on the Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog so we all can all hop around to see each others wonderful creations!!

Check out this link to find out more information and to sign up for the hop!

Also, Claire is now offering templates! Oh yes bay-bee!!!Those beautiful baskets that you have seen Claire make on her blog will be available for you to purchase! A new template has already been added to the store, so make sure you check it out!

Right now they are available in two versions; a .pdf file that can be printed and cut out by hand and a .svg file that is compatible with some digital cutters. You can read more here.

I have made an attempt at one of the baskets available - my first one so no laughing!

I printed the template onto Ocean Tides cardstock and cut it out with my scissors.  I do have a Cricut and Socal, so I hope to have it figured out before my 85th birthday!! (really that is only 35 years away, if you were thinking of waiting... LOL!!)

Before assembling the Spring Basket, I stamped the underside  with Vintage Circles -small in Scarlet Jewel ink.

I printed the liner onto K & Company designer paper. I chose not to leave a decorative edge this time, but I think I would from now on - it just lends itself to a prettier basket!

The tag was also stamped with Vintage Circle-small frame and then I punched out another circle and stamped the sentiment from Very Vintage Christmas in Scarlet Jewel and popped it up onto the tag!

The handle edges were punched with my deep Floral punch by Martha Stewart.

Now my computer has been giving me fits the last few days, and the internet server people say it is my computer and my computer fixer-upper people say it is my internet server - so who knows It is so hard to find help these days! UGH!!

Introducing {Tweet Wishes} and a challenge!

Good morning and welcome to another preview for Little Paper Shop release! This  little cutie is called Tweet Wishes Lily and she comes with different sentiments that can be used with this image!

If you would like a chance to win Tweet Wishes Lily, please leave a comment on the Little Paper Shop's blog and you may be the lucky one!

Today is also the 15th of the month which means it is our Design Team's monthly challenge. This month Ann Kranitz was our stamping leader who came up with the "distressing" challenge.

I used Kraft paper, which makes for a distressed look, and also used Antique Linen ink to sponge around my image.  A little bit of lace and twine was another edge I thought of and than some distressing of my cardstock and sewing with my funky sewing machine to boot!!

For my sentiment, I was able to curve it around my image since those stamps bend so wonderfully!  I added some layered flowers and I was done!!

Don't forget to skip over to the Little Paper Shop blog for your chance to win this little sweetie pie!!

Introducing {Moments}.......

Our Little Paper Shop design team has put together some samples which you can see on the Little Paper Shop blog along with a chance to win this set! Check out the LPS blog to see how you can win!

For my card, I stamped my sentiment in Memento Rich Cocoa right onto the My Mind's Eye designer paper and  punched a scalloped edge along the bottom.

I added a strip of My Mind's Eye paper along the middle and then tied that beautiful silk ribbon around - very simple but pretty!!

Thanks for coming around and check again tomorrow for another {CUTE} stamp set that is being released!!

Sweets for my Sweet!

I have a little quick packaging for you if you are looking for quick!

Splitcoaststampers has tons of packaging ideas, so I sorted through them and I picked this little "sweetheart" to show you!

You can find the easy tutorial here in print and on video for those of you like myself, who love to see it made also!

I used my beloved "Beloved" designer paper and Papertrey Ink Terra Cotta cardstock for my treat bag cover. I filled a small cello bag full of Jelly beans - hubby loves them - and then covered the bag with this treat bag cover!

The beautiful floral punch is a new Floral Vine "Deep" edger punch by Martha Stewart - I just love it.

I stamped the sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps "Sweethearts" in Memento Rich Cocoa and trimmed it up with a Papertrey Ink button and some twine along with the gorgeous Zva Creative Crystals flourish!

L'il Buddies magnets...

ETA: The STRONG but tiny magnets that I used in this project are called Rare Earth magnets and were bought at Princess Auto. That's the kind of store that your hubby shops in and you walk around helplessly looking for something that might be in the least bit crafty!

Our refrigerator is full, I say FULL! of our family pictures, appts, phone numbers - just full of love, so I am always needing magnets. The proof is in the pudding, so they say.....

I have no doubt that you have seen this technique before but I couldn't resist making some magnets for my refrigerator - I am a magnet junkie!

I stamped three of the L'il Buddies images onto my designer paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and cut them out with my scissors, not being real careful because you will trim it later anyway.....

Then I added a small dollop (technical term....) of Diamond Glaze right on top of the image - the ink does not run if you use Memento ink, I don't have any experience with other inks...sorry!

I added my large clear flat marble on top, squishing the Diamond Glaze outwards until it covered the image.

I waited until it dried and then trimmed the image close to the flat marble and sanded the edges.  I cut out the corresponding scalloped circle with the Scalloped circle nestabilities and glued it to the back of the marble.

It still needed a little something, so I pierced the scallops with my paper piercer - however I think I need a new piercer because I have little folds in every hole......always needing something new lol!

Finally, I added a freakishly strong magnet to the back of the marble.....honestly these magnets are so tiny and yet so powerful, they hold two or three pieces of paper to the fridge so they are not sliding down the fridge all the time.....and you know what I am talking about!!  Nothing worse than magnets that don't hold anything lol!

Stamps: L'il Buddies (Waltzingmouse Stamps)
Paper: Papertrey Ink
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Large flat marbles, Diamond Glaze, paper piercer, Scalloped circle nestabilities

Papertrey Ink sketch challenge!

Good morning!

I am playing along with the Papertrey Ink sketch and colour challenge today!  Nichole has kind of a fun little game to play with the colours you get to use - it is based on your PTI forum name.

Since my name is "eggette" - think farming, chickens, female - I need to use the following colours

and since I have every PTI colour that's going I was able to use PTI colours!

I used Blessed by You from Waltzingmouse Stamps for my image and sentiment. This stamp set has a gorgeous array of images and sentiments so it wasn't hard to pick them!

I don't think I have ever seen a pie with bling on it - so this may be a first LOL!!

Have a happy day! It's Tuesday so I am taking my daughter to math class. We are supposed to have a snowstorm this afternoon so I hope it waits until I get home!

Thank you so much for all your comments on all of our projects! It was fun!!

Little Paper Shop Colour Challenge!

Good morning and welcome to another Little Paper Shop Monday challenge!!

This week we have a colour challenge and a great one at that! Here are our colours for our challenge:

and here is my card

The base of my card is white, which is a little difficult to see and then I layered black on top - a hue I don't use very often but it is quite striking!
I embossed the black with the leaf Cuttlebug folder and then added the die cut butterflies, one of which is vellum and I embossed that one with a Cuttlebug 2 x 2 Flourish embossing folder.

I made one of those kind of vintag-y flowers from a video that I saw on Dawn McVey's blog - very cool and easy to make. I cut out the scalloped punched flowers from a Martha Stewart magazine and used a red page in the middle of the flower.

My sentiment is from {In Love} a wonderful stamp set full of heavenly sentiments - so pure!

I hope you can play this week - If you do please use the keyword LPS54 - take a peek at the other girls blogs too so you can see their delicious designs!!

Raising Awareness Little Paper Shop Style!

My Little Paper Shop design team member and my Friend (capital "F") Allison Fillo has a wonderful cause in which the Little Paper Shop design team is helping her to promote!

I will let you read the whole program in Allison's words as she can say it best! and then my card, featuring some of the images from this digital set, is at the end of this post - Lend a Hand - Save a Heart!

From Allison:

"As I alluded to earlier this week, today is a special day for me and the Little Paper Shop team.
Julia was so sweet to allow me to design a stamp set for charity in recognition of Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week which starts today!

Long-time followers of this blog know that my youngest, Avery, was born with Transposition of the Great Arteries the Christmas before last.

She had two surgeries (one when she was eight hours old and the major open heart surgery [the arterial switch] at two weeks old). She spent an additional two weeks in the hospital and then was sent home with an excellent prognosis.

Little did I know before I had Avery that 1 in 100 babies is born with a congenital heart defect. Much has been done in this last generation to diagnose and repair CHDs however much remains to be done.

This digital stamp set, titled "Broken Hearts for Broken Hearts", will be available at the Little Paper Shop for a donation of five dollars.
All the proceeds (save any PayPal transactions fees) will be donated to the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton to aid in research and the purchase of specialized equipment.

This stamp set not only reflects the cause but I think also fills a niche for those bittersweet moments of love.

Give a card to your lovesick teen, make up from a fight with your partner or just celebrate Anti-Valentine's Day with your girlfriends!

I would love to see any creations made with this set (which will only be available for a limited time)!

I have included SVG and GSD files for those of you lucky enough to own a cutter! KUDOS: I only came up with the idea to create this stamp set just over a week ago.

I am so fortunate that I have an indulgent team to work with who came through with creations to promote this stamp set. Thanks so much ladies...you are a fun bunch to work with! "

Feel Better Soon......

Good Afternoon!

I have another card from Waltzingmouse Stamps L'il Buddies today. I loved how Claire had used the twine on her re-coop card so I made one up using twine- Great idea Claire ;) !!

I used my Spellbinders Labels Four nestabilities to stamp the little chickie on, coloured him up and then, using October Afternoon's Farm Fresh paper (what else??!!) I did up a card!

These inside sentiments are just as cute as can be!

Thanks for visiting today!

Angel Maggie!

Good morning and welcome to a Humble Pie new release!

Yesterday, Humble Pie Stamps released Angel Maggie!! a sweet little angel stamp that you will love to use!

I stamped her onto some Melissa Frances scrap paper that I had and then gave her some shadowing with a copic marker. Isn't she a cutie??

I sponged up some delightful clouds behind her with a homemade cloud template and some Spring Rain ink!

The inside sentiment is from Verve and I thought it went perfectly with Angel Maggie!

The rest of my designer paper is from Basic Grey's Porcelain 6 x 6 paper pack!

Check out what the rest of the design team has done with Angel Maggie on the Humble Pie stamps blog!!

The deadline for commenting and entering for the prizes will be 11:59 pm EST on Sunday, February 7th, and the winners will be announced on Monday, February 8th on the WMS blog!

Let's begin shall we?

I decided to use my L'il Buddies stamp set again for our preview - I totally am luvin' this set - so many ways to use it  - babies, Easter, snugglies and inside and out sentiments!

I love these little ewe's - so adorable and cuddly!

and the inside

I stamped the Faux Fun knitted background onto cardstock and then stamped the little lambies over top.

I cut them out and adhered them to the image in the circle and then did the head again separtely, cut it out and popped it up on to the image.

The heart circle is part of the L'il Buddies stamp set and I stamped it and then coloured it up with the corresponding colour.

I stamped the Faux Fun knitted background onto the front panel of my card and tied ribbon around the panel. I popped up the circle that was cut with my small circle nestabilities dies and added the bow and button.

The whole card is vintaged up with my inks so that it is even cuter! lol!

Now onto the next new set! I am using Vintage Circles Small for this funky flower!

Once again I used the Faux Fun knitting stamp for my background  - do you think I like it?!! lol!

Then I just started stamping and layering with the Vintage Circles Small stamps. I cut out the blue circle with my blue Marvy punch and the yellow circle with the yellow Marvy punch - I don't know the measurements on those punches - I only know them by colours sorry!

The leaves were stamped onto patterned paper and cut out with my scissors. I popped the flower up and added the little leaves underneath.

The sentiment is from Blessed by You and is stamped at the bottom right to offset the leaves a bit......

Your next stop on our hop is to Belinda's blog! Don't forget to add your comment to everyone's blog! You never know who has the prize!

Stamps: L'il Buddies, Vintage Circles Small, Blessed by You, Faux Fun (Waltzingmouse Stamps)

It's a Waltzingmouse snuggle bunny!

It's time! It's time! Today, Jennifer Holmes and I will be showing you what has been happening at Waltzingmouse Stamps - and don't forget Claire - she has a ton 'o creations to show you!!

Waltzingmouse Stamps is releasing four new sets tomorrow (Thursday) and for the next couple of days, I am going to show you some creations I have made with these beautiful stamp sets, beginning today!

I have used stamps from L'il Buddies to create my card. Isn't this the cutest little bunny??!!

I used Memento Tuxedo Black to stamp my snuggle bunny and then ran my glue pen over parts of the image being careful not to get any glue on the image lines.

Then I added my tan fun flock in little piles, patted it down and shook it off! Easy peasy!

I took a pin and just made sure that there was no flock on the lines of the image and there wasn't very much. I did good! lol!

I did the same with the fluffy tail only with white fun flock.

I curved the sentiment on my block and stamped it beside the bunny - I love being able to do that with acrylic stamps - so easy!
You can't see it very well, but I used the knitted stamp from Faux Fun and stamped it in yellow and then cuttlebugged the top of the card with the Swiss Dot embossing folder.

I hope you like it and don't forget - tomorrow is release day AND Waltzingmouse Stamps blog hop day!!.....so exciting!!

We will be having a blog hop that will be starting 2:00 pm, so you can see more creations and there will be prizes!! All the information will be ready for you at Waltzingmouse Stamps blog!

Stamps: L'il Buddies, Faux Fun (Waltzingmouse Stamps)
Paper: Lemon Tart, Rustic Cream (Papertrey Ink),
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black,
Accessories:  button, ribbon, Swiss Dot Embossing folder, fun flock, glue pen

Humble Pie Showcase Day!

Good Monday morning and welcome to my second post of the day - please scroll UP to see the Little Paper Shop sketch challenge this week - thank you!!

Today we are showcasing the other stamp lines that The Townscrapper carries - give Phebe a call -Her store is located in Petrolia, Ontario Canada,  and she is working on getting her online stor up and going - but until then, give her a call or email her - has the best prices going!

This stamp is from My Favorite Things (which Phebe carries) and is called  Who's That Chocoholic? - LOL! This could so easily be me, trying to curb my chocolate cravings and not quite meeting that goal!! It's a tough road....lol!

I used My Mind's Eye Beloved papers which Phebe also carries and sanded the edges to give it a bit of depth. I added some white gel pen to each chocolate just to make them look even more delicious than they already are.....

I framed up the image with the Spellbinders Labels Nine and tied a bow across the top - I love this card - it turned out not too shabby if I say so myself - yes I'm patting myself on the back with this one lol!

Give Phebe a call or an e-mail at info@townscrapper.com as she carried all the product I have talked about today - My Favorite Things stamps, Spellbinders, My Mind's Eye Papers - all at fabulous prices!!

Take a look on the Humble Pie Stamp blog to see what the other design team members have cooked up with stamps that The Town Scrapper sells!
