Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #25

(silly blogger didn't post on time.....)

Good day and welcome to another Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge! This time we have reached Challenge #25 - how fast the time flies doesn't it?!

Speaking of flying (groan), I decided to get out my Half Pint Heroes and make a rocket card!

And I just discovered that I didn't add my sentiment - arghhh! I know right where it is too....on my desk with the pop dots on the back just crying for me - "you forgot me you forgot me!!" dang. it.

The sentiment says "love you" and on the inside it is stamped "to the moon and back"...dang. it. again.

Aw well, I used Basic Grey Max and Whiskers paper and silver embossed the star and moon on the dark grey designer paper.

You can hardly see it but I stamped "to the moon and back" all over the stars and the scalloped edge too!

Why don't you join us in the sketch challenge this week - you don't have to use Waltzingmouse Stamps but if you have them - then why not?!

Make your own card using the sketch and link it on the Sketch Blog by Thursday 12/2/10 at 11:59 pm EST - you could be chosen Top Mouse next week!! This week there is a prize to be won too - yay!

This week’s it is Cindy Haffner's Challenge and that is to make a card and incorporate a tag into it - or just make a tag! Lots of variations on this one!

I used pretty little Goldie  on my card today!

I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then coloured her up with my copics. I actually stamped her twice and then cut out her tail, top fin and bottom fin and popped them up onto the main image.

Using my glue pen, I added glue to the fins and then some Glamour Dust on top - just a sparkly, super fine glitter!

The "bubbles" are actually Clear Flatback gems and I just adhered them with a small glue dot.

My sentiment is stamped onto a Spellbinders Tag - thus the challenge!

Don't forget to link up at the Paper Romance Challenge Blog when you enter and use keyword PRC26 if you upload to any of the other galleries in town lol!

Merry and Bright!

This is another one of my projects from the Waltzingmouse Stamps November Release - and I KNOW that today is the sketch challenge day but I was packing to leave on a small vacation so I didn't get a sketch challenge card done - sorry!

This image and sentiment is from the new set called Around Christmastime! I used the Text-it background stamp for the background on the Spellbinders Lacey Circles die and one of the Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio Dies!

Another fun announcement!! I am now officially part of the Paper Romance Design Team! Take a look at all that wonderful talent  that I get to work with - my sidebar has all the links to the new Design Team!!

I have gone for a short vacation to Las Vegas wahoo! But I will be back on Thursday or Friday!

Merry & Bright

Good day! I still have a couple of Waltzingmouse Stamps projects to show you from our most recent release!

This cutie is using the wreath and sentiment from Around Christmastime! The background is, of course, one of the background stamps from Text-It!

I added a bit of bling to the berries - hard to see, I know - and on either side of the sentiment.

Thanks for coming around today!

Sorry for the short post - but I am trying to get ready to go to Las Vegas!! Wahoo! We will be gone on Saturday until Wednesday for a wedding - I am so excited to go but I do NOT like traveling and flying is just so wrong on so many (sky high) levels and it is a four hour flight!!

My hubby used to own a small J-3 Cub (two seater) and I never minded flying around in that, but this is different......

Waltzingmouse Stamps Release Day!

It’s here! It’s release day!! Come along and waltz with us to see all the fabulous projects from the designers!

If you are coming here from Belinda’s Blog you are on the right track, if you are just popping in – consider starting at the beginning of the Waltz, Claire’s blog, so you don’t miss any of the lusciousness!

I have a couple of projects today, beginning with “Twas the Night Before Christmas” – a terrifically fun set with all sorts of possibilities!!

Twasluckya

I stamped the window onto kraft cardstock with Vintage Photo distress ink and cut it out with the Spellbinders Labels 14 die.

Then I stamped each window onto Vintage Cream cardstock and coloured them with Copic markers to look like it was dusk……The candle was stamped with Vintage Photo distress ink and then shaded with  Copics markers to create a glow from the candle.

I used the large St. Nicholas stamp as my background and popped the window up onto it and added a luscious aqua bow.

My next little project is quite easy! I just stamped the mistletoe image all over a premade box.

FFluckya

This image is actually two stamps – the outline which I stamped in Memento black ink and then the inside which was stamped in Colorbox Olive ink. I coloured the berries red for an instant pop!

I also made up some labels for nuggets that we are giving away at our craft sales this weekend! We just put them in a bowl and offer them to potential customers, trying to keep the kiddies down to two each!! lol!

That’s all from me today!! Your next stop is Sandie who is sure to WOW! you!!

Waltzingmouse Stamps Previews Day 3!

Good day and welcome to the last day of previews for November with Waltzingmouse Stamps!

Tomorrow is release day - FUN!!! and our designer blog waltz!  This will begin at 2pm eastern and there are prizes!! Just leave a comment on every designer's blog AND on Claire's blog - tomorrow - and you could win a stamp step of your choice!!

Now on to today's projects! I am showcasing the new set to be released called Around Christmastime -- a set that is filled with round Christmas images that will tickle your fancy for sure!

For my first card I used today's Waltzingmouse Stamps Sketch Challenge - take a look - we would love for you to play - oh my isn't this a busy week?!

I stamped Text-it in chai ink for my card base and then one of the images from another new set being released tomorrow, Festive Foliage, to make a background on my Prism cardstock.

The circle image is part of the new set, Around Christmastime! I cut out the middle and popped it up just to add some interest.

The snowflakes are from Spellbinders "Create-a-Snowflake I", which I believe is no longer available...sorry. A bit of twine was tied around the top and some Zva pearls were added to each snowflake!

For my second project, I used one of the bigger circle images - Santa himself! I just stamped and heat embossed the purple one with sparkly embossing powder. The aqua one was just stamped and then I traced around the image with a C1 copic ink marker.

They were both cut out with the Spellbinders Lacey Circles, inked up to add a vintage touch and then popped up onto a tag decorated with Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather papers!

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments all week - you guys really WOW me!!!  See you tomorrow for the Designer Blog Waltz!

Please pop around to each of the following designer's blog for their previews today - I KNOW it is worth it!!

Claire, Lisa, Julia, Mona, Jennifer,  Lynn, Anya, Belinda, Laurie,

Waltzingmouse Stamps Previews Day 2!

Good Day! Thank you so much for all of your wonderful comments yesterday! It sure makes a girl feel good!

Today I am previewing a new stamp set that will be available on November 7th, called "Festive Foliage"! This has to be one of my favorite sets - so fun and versatile!

I stamped this large image on to Vintage Cream cardstock with Colorbox Olive ink and then stamped it again with Colorbox Rich Brown....I love Colorbox for these kinds of stamps - so rich and juicy!

I cut out the pinecones and adhered them in place and then I took my knife and cut slits where the pine needles are, and bent them up a bit to create a bit of depth to the card.

The sentiment is from the Waltzingmouse set Compliments of the Season. I tied a bit of twine and added a button to finish.

For my next card, I went quick and easier lol!  I stamped the largest holly leaf three times and coloured them with copics.  I added a bit of stickles and then sprinkled on ice glitter for snow!

The plaid designer paper is from a K & Company Christmas pad and then I tied a bit of lovely seam binding ribbon across the card, added a few little Zva Crystals and bling!!

I love the sentiment!!

That's enough from me today, but make sure you take a sleigh ride around to everyone on the design team!! They have some beautiful work that you won't want to miss!! and don't forget to come back tomorrow for another peek!

Waltzingmouse Stamps Previews - Day 1!

Well, good day and welcome to another wonderful few days of previews from Waltzingmouse Stamps new releases!  I know, I say that every month! ;)

We have FOUR new beautiful stamp sets being released this month - all full of fun and happiness!

For my first project today, I am going to showcase Waltzingmouse Stamps new set called Vintage Ornaments - which happens to coordinate perfectly with the Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Ornaments dies!!

I have two cards to show you today using this new set and they both use Colorbox Olive Ink - I guess I was on an olive roll....!

I stamped the polka dot ornament image twice with Colorbox Olive Ink onto Prism cardstock - I love the little mottled effect Prism cardstock gives you......and then I cut them both out with the Spellbinders Ornament die.

The middle of the ornament is a separate stamp and I used Smokey Shadow ink for that. I added a few little Zva bling to both of the ornaments and then popped them up onto my card.

I love how this colour of Prism cardstock (Herbal Garden Light) looks with this new Basic Grey Jovial Christmas paper!

The border punch along the bottom is a Martha Stewart deep edge punch - love it!

My second card also used the polka dot ornament stamp - what can I say - I am a creature of habit!

Instead of the starburst in the middle of this card, I used one of the sentiments, stamped in Colorbox lipstick ink, and then cut out with the Spellbinders oval nestabilities.
I made my card with the K & Company Yuletide Greetings designer paper and some lovely Zva pearls that I coloured with my R37 copic marker......I kind of coloured it sloppily so it would give it a vintage feel!

I popped up the stamped ornament and added some freakishly gorgeous seam binding and I was done - quick and easy!

That's it for today from me, but make sure you travel around to everyone on the design team!! They have some awesomeness you won't want to miss!! and don't forget to come back tomorrow for another peek!

Smiley from millan.net
I have a coloured up image of Miss You a Latte and got them mixed up ....oh brother!! - There goes that Guest Designer spot for this month LOL!

Good day to you! It was a bright and sunshiney freezing cold day today. I love the autumn - it is my favorite time of year.....but this moving onto winter can skip me altogether .....
Smiley from millan.net

I did a little project for My Favorite Things Guest Designer Challenge......I love the little a la modes - and this was a great opportunity to ink them up.

I am busy making things for crafts shows ( I know you are tired of hearing it) AND the Waltzingmouse Stamps release - yay! very shortly! so I needed to take a break and make something for me!

I decorated an instant French Vanilla coffee tin and constructed a card to match! This little sweetie, Miss You a Latte, was perfect for my project!
The sentiment, framed image and die is all one package -  the Framed Greetings die and stamp set!

The designer paper is a combination of K & Company Glad Tidings Kit and October Afternoon!

Waltzingmouse Stamps previews start on November 4th and new stamps are released on the 7th!! Come on back to see all the previews!!
