Waltzingmouse Stamps July preview Day Three!

Oh my! Thank you so much for all your kind comments the past couple of days! It warms my heart to know that you are enjoying the previews!

Today we are previewing three more sets - Eat Cake, You're Lovely and Flourishes-Scallops and Dots!

My first card is from You're Lovely - a gorgeous set just perfect for wedding cards, prom cards or just for that young lady in your life!

There are some sweet sentiments in this set, I chose not to use one until I know who I am going to send it to!

I stamped the dress on white cardstock and then again on shimmer cardstock - I cut out the shimmer skirt and adhered it to the first image. Such a shame that the camera does not capture the pretty shimmer - it's gorgeous!

The bodice is a separate stamp again, and I glittered that up pretty well and adhered it to the top of the skirt. The flower and the swirl are two more of the stamps that are separate (I must confess that Claire had this idea first and so I did steal it - you know how a great idea makes it way around and around ;))

My second card is from Eat Cake and I chose to portray it as a birthday card, although this set is perfect for a wedding cake also with all the fun little layers you can add!

I was  kind of fooling around with this set when I first received it, and you can tell that these are the first and second image that I stamped - I don't use an eraser or anything on my stamps first - I just stamp away until they stamp a clear impression!

But I decided to use them anyway since they look like they are mottled with icing and looked pretty dang great to me! lol!

Take a waltz around to the other designer's blogs to see how they have shown these sets!

Doghouse Blues!

If you are here for the Waltzingmouse Stamps July Preview Day Two, please scroll down or click here!

Good morning and welcome to another Wednesday Hambo Hoedown!

This is the day where we introduce a new digi stamp and you get to play in a new challenge - a challenge that we offer every week.

This week the challenge is to create a project that incorporates a dog bone or a dog tag.  Now my "tag" is really a heart charm that I had, but our puppy Rosie has a heart dog tag, so I am sure that this qualifies ;)

If you played in last week's challenge and you emailed your photo to Monica (check out the Hambo Hoedown Blog for that info) then you will receive a free digi this week! Isn't that the coolest??!!

Of course you can use ANY Hambo image that you own and there are free digi's available at the store for you also AND a whole BUNCH of other digi images that are so dang cheap - you will want them in your digi repertoire!

This week our digi is called Doghouse Blues! He is the saddest looking puppy around!

I actually printed out the image four times, which is easy to do one one sheet of cardstock, and then colored various parts of the image so that I could cut them out and pop them up onto the card!
For instance, I coloured the shingled roof and flower box separately, cut them out and popped them up onto the original coloured image! You can see that in the following image.....

 Thanks for coming around today!

Waltzingmouse Stamps July preview Day Two!

Oooooo! did you like all the beautiful Waltzingmouse Stamps samples yesterday?  You will love today's samples just as much!

We are previewing two sets today called Big Day Essentials and Big Day Additions.

My first set of cards is from the stamp set Big Day Essentials, a wonderful set full of fabulously large sentiments that are essential for making your own invitations.

I have made a few samples that would be perfect additions for your wedding invitations.

I took the liberty of using my husband and my names in this "Save the Date" samples - just so that I could imagine doing it all over again - and I would in an instant!

This card features the sentiment "Invitation Evening Celebration" and then I created the rest of the saying on my computer.

The final sentiment that I have used is "Thank You", and you will notice that this sentiment, just like the others, spans across the width of a 4 1/4" piece of cardstock - beautifully large and gorgeous!

I have only used three sentiments in my samples but there are actually NINE sentiments included in this stamp set!

For my second set of samples, I am using the soon-to-be released set called Big Day Additions - another gorgeous set with a large swirling font!

Using Prima patterned paper and Prima flowers, along with some twine and pearls, I created a set of cards with the sentiments that are needed for special occasion!

Now here is the rest of the team that is previewing today!

Waltzingmouse July Preview Day 1!

Good Day and welcome to another exciting release from Waltzingmouse Stamps!

For the next three days you will be mesmerized by our beautiful creations featuring the new stamps releasing July 1st, that will drive you crazy!

On the fourth day, you will be treated to our Release Blog Waltz in which there will be prizes involved! All the information wil be on Claire's Blog as per usual, so make sure you read it over carefully so you don't miss out on a dang thing!

Okay, let's get right to it! We have EIGHT sets being released this month - EIGHT!! So today we are previewing three of the sets - Cameo to Go, Cameo Creations, and Ovals Classic Frames!
For my first card I used Cameo Creations. I was asked to make 40 bridal shower cards and what fun I had putting all the colours and designs together!

I stamped the beautiful young woman cameo first and then the frame around her. I cut out the oval with the Spellbinders Classic Ovals and then framed it using the Spellbinders Beaded Ovals.

Using WMS Musical Backgrounds, I stamped over top of my patterned paper and then cut it to fit the bottom of the card. I added a white bow to draw the attention to the cameo!

For my second card I have used Cameo Creations, which contains sentiments as well as frames, cameos and those funky doo-dads that Claire is so famous for!

I stamped the cameo and the frame around it in Vintage Photo Distress inks and cut out the images with the Spellbinders Big Scallop Ovals.

I stamped one of the cute little images from Ovals Classic Frames to make a little backgrounder on the bottom of my card - right onto the patterned paper!

A Martha Stewart punch, some ribbon and most importantly - the bling!! and I was finished for today!

Please make your way around to the other designers blog to see the gorgeousness they have created - and you know they have!!

Somebody Squealed!

Good morning and welcome to another Wednesday Hambo Hoedown!

This is the day where we introduce a new digi stamp and you get to play in a new challenge - a challenge that we offer every week.

This week the challenge is to use twine! *cough cough - not too much of a challenge for me - I LOVE using twine!!

If you played in last week's challenge and you emailed your photo to Monica (check out the Hambo Hoedown Blog for that info) then you will receive a free digi this week! Isn't that the coolest??!! Of course there are free digi's available at the store for you also AND a whole BUNCH of other digi images that are so dang cheap - you will want them in your digi repertoire!

This week our digi is called Pig Inmate and you can find him by clicking on link!

I made a little jail cell for my little inmate - he is actually attached on the inside of the card (see photo at bottom of post) but I wanted him to be looking through bars!

I used the Spellbinders rectangles to make a square in the front of my card and then used two of the rectangles together to make the black "moulding" if you will. The bars are just pieces of cut Smokey Shadow cardstock.

The patterned paper is from October Afternoon's Fly a Kite 8 x 8 paper pad. I wanted the inside nice and cheery so I used the orange designer paper from the same paper pad!

Why don't you join us in our challenge this week?! You must use a Hambo image but with the free digi's available - you have no reason not to join us!!

Thank you so much for visiting me today!

June Friends of Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz!

Good Day and welcome to another Friends of Waltzingmouse Blog Waltz! It is always so fun and exciting to see what everyone has created with out themes!

This month Waltzingmouse has decided to celebrate all things USA!! I must say that I am a true blue (red?!) Canadian so I felt a little strange making this banner and I really like it!

I planned on taking it to Stamping Around Ohio this weekend and give it to someone, but I came down with a nasty cough (I detest a summer cough....) - coughing so much I would throw up - yes probably too much info right?

But I am so disappointed that I won't get to see Julia Aston- my Design Teammate on WMS and Julie Masse and Christina Fischer and Tammy Hershberger and Maria Colosimo and Barb Anders a few others that I could just cry!

Anyway, enough whining lol! .......I decided to make a banner - it is just a  small banner - one that can tie to the back of your chair but it really packs a punch!

We are having a bad thunderstorm here so I am cutting this short and I will fill you in on the details later!!  EEk! Crazy thunder.....

Thanks for coming around and I am outta here!

You're HOW old??

Good Morning and welcome to another Hambo Hoedown Challenge!

Today I have used the Laughing Digi image from Hambo Stamps. Oh, I giggle every time I see this image- it is so funny!

This week's challenge is to use the colours red, teal and kraft/ivory/white in your creation.

I ran the image off onto some vintage Cream cardstock and coloured the image with copics.

I then layered it onto some Echo Park designer paper. The red dotted patterned paper was run through the Cuttlebug with the numbers folder and then lightly sanded to bring out the numbers.

Right now twine is my thing to use, so I tied it around the patterned paper and image and then popped it up onto some Vintage Cream cardstock!

We would love for you to join us in this week's colour challenge - you can use ANY Hambo image - there are freebies available (yay!), and if you participate, with a Hambo image, you will have a free digi emailed to you for next week's challenge!

Always my Friend and a little WMS news!

Good Morning!

I made this card for yesterday's Featured Stamper challenge (StamperCamper) on Splitcoaststampers!

I chose to case this card and as per the rules, I changed up a few things such as the sentiment, the paper and I tied a ribbon vertically and I chose to use pearl accents instead of her pretty little flowers!

I used Waltzingmouse Stamps "Say It Loud" stamp set and inked it up with Ocean Tides ink, highlighting the sentiment with a few Kaisercraft pearls.

The ribbon is my own homemade ribbon - seam binding sprayed with Tattered Angels mist.

The patterned paper is a 12 x 12 sheet from Prima's Reflection line called Kashana.....beautiful blues, purples and browns!

Did you know that Waltzingmouse Stamps is announcing a new program today?!! Our dear Anya - our own personal gallery genious - has a little announcement and here it is in her own words!

"To encourage use of the gallery, we have developed an incentive that we are happy to roll out today.

We have dedicated a special thread in the Waltzingmouse Forum (under The Gallery topic) where we would like you to let us know when you have uploaded a project to the WMS Gallery, including a link to your project.

In exchange for your participation, we will ooh and ahh over your uploads and each week will select one person to be featured on the WMS Blog – we’ll call it the Big Cheese! The person selected will receive a promotional code eligible for $10 off a purchase from the WMS Store and their project will be posted to a special Big Cheese album in the WMS Gallery.
We hope that this program will encourage you to share your creations in the WMS Gallery so we can keep it as a fresh and growing place of inspiration!

A new thread in the forum will be posted each week and a new Big Cheese will be chosen every Wednesday. We will choose our first Big Cheese on Wednesday, June 22. This week’s thread has been posted, and we can’t wait to see all the projects that you upload! Thank you all for making this a great community and source of inspiration.

(The discount code is not eligible for shipping costs. We ask that you use WMS images on the projects you upload to the WMS Gallery, and will disqualify projects that do not comply with the guidelines. We’re all here for WMS inspiration, after all!)"

Doesn't that sound fabulous?! More WMS inspiration for everyone - yay!

Hey Dad!

Good day and welcome to another Hambo Hoedown! You probably know the drill, and that is to make a card for our challenge using a Hambo stamp!

This week we have a fabulous sketch to try out!

Here is my card using the sketch and the fabulous digi "Three Ties" - Hambo digi! I am using just one of the ties that are available in this digi set- there are three!!

I coloured up the "Three Ties" Hambo Stamps digi image with my copic markers and then followed the sketch to a "T"! The button is a Walmart button tied with The Twinery twine.

My patterned paper is by Kaiser Craft - a 6 x 6 pad called Seaside that is just luscious!

Please stop around at the rest of the designer's blog's to see how they have interpreted the sketch - you know it will be fabulous!!

SOAP Day Four! Way to Go!!

Good morning and welcome to the last day of our Stamp of Approval Parade!

Today we are focusing on an older set called Free Spirit Boy! I decided, since it is the time of year, to go with a graduation card!

With some help from Frame-it , I stamped the frame in Evening Shade and then the graduations caps from Free Spirit Boy! The sentiment is from Free Spirit Boy Sentiments.....

I wrapped some twine around the card and added a star and button with a homemade twine tassel hanging off the star!

We hope that you have enjoyed, and have been inspired, the past few days from our Stamp of Approval Parade; highlighting last month’s sets and a fabulous masculine set, Free Spirit Boy set. Now it’s time for you to get your craftiness on as we invite you to participate in a CASE (Copy and Share Everything) competition.

Find a card or project from any of the projects posted over the past few days by the WMS Design Team, CASE that project using Waltzingmouse Stamp images, and link it using the Inlinkz on Claire’s blog at http://waltzingmouse.blogspot.com/. At the end of the competition, one project will be randomly selected to be highlighted with a Parade of its own on several of the Design Team blogs.

We hope you will enjoy this competition and that it will inspire you be creative. You have one week to complete and link your project as the competition will close at 8:00 AM Claire’s time on June 10th, which is 3 AM Eastern, 2 AM Central and Midnight, Pacific time. The winner will be announced on Claire’s blog on June 11th.

SOAP Day Three!

Good Morning and welcome to Day Three of our Waltzingmouse Soap Parade!

I am actually typing in the dark because both the bulbs in my overhead ceiling light have burnt out and I am too lazy to get a replacement haha! so please forgive the spelling mistakes and (maybe) the shortness of this post!  Isn't that silly??!!

Today's card features "Say It Loud" a fabulous set with large fonts and accompanying smaller sentiments. I have only used one of the larger sentiments for this card but it is totally appropriate and you could certainly use the smaller sentiments on the inside if you so wished.

I stamped the word Baby onto a Spellbinders Classic Oval die and then popped it up onto the Fancy Tags Three die - love those beautiful dies!!

After adhering the patterned paper onto the Kraft cardstock, I ran it through the Cuttlebug machine with my Crafts Too Hearts folder and then popped up the Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three diecut!

Okay that is all for me until I get this light bulb changed - typing in the dark is not that great haha!!

Take a spin around to the other girl's blogs to see what they have been up to - you will love it!!!

SOAP Day Two!

Good Morning and welcome to Day Two of our Waltzingmouse Stamp of Approval Parade or SOAP as we call it!

Today I am focusing on May's releases of  Gingham & Co. and Dainty Doilies Large Set with a performance by the backgrounder Text-it!

I made a little scene with these stamps by creating some "hills" with the backgrounder Gingham & Co. and then the sky with Text-it! The flowers or trees are made with the Dainty Doilies Large and the stems are from Teeny Trees.

I tied some Lilac Baker's Twine around the base of the card to match up with the Text-it backgrounder.

I purposefully did NOT add a sentiment so that I could stamp whatever sentiment I need later- what do you think??

Take a swim around to the other design team member's blogs to see their creations with last month's releases!! I KNOW they will be magic!!

Into the Frying Pan!

This is my second post of the day. If you are looking for the Waltzingmouse Stamps SOAP Parade, please click here!

Well,  WAHOO!! I am so very happy to announce that I'm a Bacon Bit!! and that is to say that I am now officially a member of the Hambo Stamps Design Team aka a Bacon Bit!!

Love these cute little stamps and my word, if a company has "Go ahead, laugh at us!" as a slogan, it must be fun - and so far I am finding out that it is!!

So today is my first official day as a Design Team member, and I am participating in the Hambo Hoedown. I have been in the Hoedown for the last few weeks and I love it!

The image I am using today is the special digi that is being offered free this week from Hambo Stamps if you participated in last week's challenge.

This week the challenge at the Hoedown is BUTTONS! I have no problem using buttons let me tell you - I have a fishbowl/terrarium full of them!

I printed off Strawberry Kid - digi by Hambo Stamps and coloured the bottom half of him up with my copic markers. I printed him off again and coloured up the strawberry, cut it out and popped it up onto the first image.

I used Echo Park Paper as my patterned paper and then added a couple of paper punched pieces, some twine and a big ol' button as per the challenge!!

We would love for you to join us - just use a Hambo Stamps image - rubber or digital, and a button or two and you are in!! Just link up to the Linky thingy on the Hambo Hoedown Challenge blog!

Please take a walk through the other members of the Design Team to see what they have been up to - I know it is something fun!

June Stamp of Approval Parade- Waltzingmouse Style!

Welcome to the Waltzingmouse Stamp of Approval Parade (SOAP)!!!

Claire has decided to release new stamps every other month -  so for June (a non release month)  the Design Team is having a parade  -  there will be 4 fun days in our parade - for the first 3 days we will be highlighting stamps from the WMS May Release - Join Us, Dainty Doilies 2 Small, Dainty Doilies Large, Gingham & Co., and Say it Loud)

And on the 4th day of our parade - we will be highlighting a set from a past release.  For June this set is Free Spirit Boy - just in time for all of our spring cards!

Today - I have chosen to highlight Gingham & Coone of my favorite background sets to date!

I love the beautiful colours in this card! As you can see I stamped the background and then cut out the butterfly with the Stamping Up! Butterfly Sizzix die.

I used part of the stamped cardstock for the top of my card and then patterned paper for the rest!

The sentiment is from Half Pint Heroes. I hope you like it - now on to the next person in our parade!!
