WMS Preview Day Two-Compliments of the Season 2

.......and Vintage Christmas Background! - I couldn't fit that all in my title lol!

We have another fabulously large backgrounder being previewed today!

Sometimes, with a large stamp, it is difficult to get a great impression...

This is how I ink up a large backgrounder -

- I inked up the stamp - without taking it off of the plastic backing

- I laid my Rustic Cream cardstock on top of the stamp and laid a piece of scrap paper over top of that,

- with my hand, smoothed the whole thing over top.

When I peeled it off of the stamp - this is the look that I got - FULL coverage and a delightful imprint!

I paired it up with a couple of Red Velvet bags from Pouch Mart - adding a white felt die-cut Poinsetta edged in gold glitter!

My card features a red poinsettia with a red sentiment trimmed with gold sticky back gems!

For my second project today, I had a shaker ornament that was laying around and decided to see what I could do with it.

I stamped up one of the sentiments from Compliments of the Season 2 with Versamark and using silver fine detail embossing powder, I embossed the sentiment.

Then I inserted it into the shaker ornament, and along with some ribbon, lace and clear sticky back gems- so pretty!

Thank you for joining me today - here are the other WMS Designers who are showcasing these sets today!

WMS Preview Day One - Yonder Star and Yonder Star Background

Good day and welcome to Day One of Waltzingmouse Stamps November Release! We have three days of release previews along with our regular Release Day Waltz (with prizes!) on Day Four!

Today we are previewing Yonder Star and Yonder Star Backgrounds........

I inked up Yonder Star Background with several complimentary inks - this stamp is a whopper - 4 1/2 x 5 3/4 inches - you can cover a full card front with this baby!

I cut up the the inked sheet of Rustic Cream cardstock into squares and then zigzag sewed them back together with my Janome sewing machine.

A piece of Sweet Blush cardstock was die-cut with a sweet little edge and adhered under the background strips.

The star was embossed onto kraft cardstock with fine white embossing powder and hand cut to pop up onto my base.  After adding the sentiment and some pink sticky back gems - the outcome was more than I had imagined!

Here is a list of the other WMS Designers with their fabulous previews today!

2. Your project needs to pertain to the current party them.

3. You need to use Waltzingmouse Stamps images

The theme this month is a colour challenge! and here are the appropriate colours for this month!

Everything is on an angle in this invitation - you are not going wonky lol!

The little gift bag is also decorated with Waltzingmouse Stamps Hallowe'en Party! The circle around the little "scary" owl was made by stamping the frame from Very Vintage Labels No.1, and then die cutting it out with a circle.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends!! We had our celebrations on Saturday and Sunday - delicious time of year ;)!

It's Monday and that means a Totally Stampalicious blog post - wahoo - and in keeping with the celebration, our theme this week is Thanksgiving!

We are still knee-deep in the Hope You Can Cling To challenges - today's challenge is to use the initials HYCCT in your card -

H- Happy
Y - yarn
C - Copic markers
C - Cabernet Savignon
T - Table - yeh that one might be a stretch lol.....

For our Totally Stampalicious card, I used JJ Cook  - she is a sweetie! and I was able to use one of the sentiments from Farmer Hawg - a perfect pairing!

I stamped and coloured JJ with my copic markers and then die cut her out with an MFT die. I added a bit of ribbon using Scor-Tape to make it a bit more feminine and of course the sentiment bubble is too cute!

For the inside - more cute little dies!

Hop on over to the Totally Stampalicious blog to see the other designers entries - and don't forget our fabulous FREE STAMPS FOR A YEAR promotion going on now!

World Card Making Day!

Good Morning and welcome to World Card Making Day!  All over the world - cardmakers are celebrating this day by crafting!

I celebrated by making a thank you card using Waltzingmouse Stamps Vintage Garden-Flowers.  These images are from our August release and now all of the new August stamps are in stock - yay!

I stamped the beautiful Hyacinth on a layout of diamond cut outs and then stamped the sentiment beside it.

The "brick" wall was made with a Tim Holtz embossing folder and I swooshed around the edges with some Fresh Snow ink.  I trimmed it up with some twine from Waltzingmouse Stamps - oh yes, they sell more than just stamps!

Thanks for visiting today and if you are Canadian - Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!!

In My Corner

Yesterday Hope You Can Cling To challenge was to use FIVE words on your card - they could be different words or grouped as a sentiment....however you wanted to choose.

I decided to use a sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps Rescue Remedy Additions - I love this sentiment....

The card base, ribbon and ink is Blueberry Sky from Papertrey Ink. I used a bit of recycling for my scallops at the top of my card heehee....

I die cut some wildflowers from the Papertrey Ink die Larger Than Life and added them to the side of the sentiment.

My patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye and is called Bluebell - I love it!

You should check out the Hope You Can Cling Too Challenges - there are over 150 prizes to be won!

Here are the cards that I have made so far.....all the information for these cards is on Splitcoaststampers in my gallery.....

I'm So Excited!!

Good Monday Morning! The first day of October woohoo! and - more fun news!!
Totally Stampalicious has a "Free Stamps for a Year" contest going on - check out the blinkie on my sidebar!!

Since it is Monday, it's time for another Totally Stampalicious Challenge and this week "Anything Goes"!! I love these kind of challenges !

I inked up "Scarlett - I'm So Excited" and coloured her little outfit with my copic markers.

I do not even know what paper I used, because the scraps were laying on my desk - I love that, as a stamper, I am able to do that!

The red embellishments are dies, - I love how a die is instant gratification lol!

And I forgot to take a photo of the inside, but it says "Congratulations!"

Join us won't you, for this week's challenge!
