Chicken Soup and Flourishes.....again....
Yep, I am using up my Maya Road flourishes.....well, using them at least....there are a ton of flourishes in each tin.....I think about 60 of every size - and I have the white, which I used here and the clear which I used in this post.
I never knew how to use those flourishes and then I decided you don't have to know HOW to use them, you just have to do it .....so far everywhere I have used them has worked out great!!
I saw these two cute little stamps at 1 Rubber Room, and since I am a chicken lover, I just had to have them and this was the perfect opportunity to use them in the sketch challenge today. So many people have the cold/flu - whatever you want to call it - this card would surely serve that purpose!
I used my sewing machine also, but it kind of bugg&$%*ed up so now I am going to have to get the manual out (find it first) and do some investigating! I hate that....I mean why can't things just WORK??
I took advantage of Verve Visual's sale and bought some paper from the "chocolate delicious desserts", "berry delicious desserts" and "Pink Squirrel" collections. They are all 12 x 12 double sided and a terrific price....check it out!
This paper is the chocolate delicious dessert paper-- yummy! On the other side of the spotted paper are stripes, which of course co-ordinate.
I colored the little guy with copics, cut him out and popped him up on my cuttlebugged layer. The option in the challenge was to add a sentiment and I did, although, I think I could have just put "GET WELL SOON...." on the front and then put the rest of the sentiment on the inside of the card.......
We are STILL on dial-up so that would have taken forever to upload 2 photos!!
Well, I am going to try to do all the Bella Challenges this week....I have only missed sixteen of them HAH! Well 8 sketch challenges and 8 color challenges, so I think I will combine them and see how I get along......I LUV my Bella's!!
LUCKY ME!

ReplyDeleteHiya Bonnie! Hope you are doing well! I giggled out loud when I saw this card! I love everything about it! I really like the contrast of the colors and the sewing! I have not been brave enough to try that yet! Really great job! : )
ReplyDeleteThat chicken is SO cute! And I love the sentiment!
