The Sixth Photo!

I was tagged by Deanna from Dee's Paper Tree with this fun tag!! - no racking of the brain cells to try and remember my Grade 6 hop scotch partner or anything like that!!

Deanna and I found each other through various means - sort of through where we live and of course through blogland and Papertrey Ink and Scrapping Turtle. - Just lots of places that o
ur paths cross!!

Don'tcha just love blogging!!

Okay, these are the easy peasy rules of this tag:

1. navigate to where you keep your pictures, select the 6th folder, and the 6th picture in that folder.

2. Then post it on your blog with an explanation of the story behind the picture

3. tag 6 other people to do the same, and make sure you let them know about it.

This is how long I keep pictures around! This is our dog Queenie, from December 2005, when she had been rolling around in the mud and wanted in the house!

I really wanted my 6th picture of the 6th folder to be such a pretty photo - but alas - them's the rules!!

Okay, now to tag YOU!! and if you have already done this then okay - no worries!!

Tagged!!

I have been tagged by Chris and Diane so I better do this thing before I forget...........(I secretly love to be tagged, I'm just pretending to be dragging my feet....lol!)

Tagging Game Rules:
1. Link your tagger and list the rules on your blog
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs
4. Let them know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog

Random facts....

1. It was my birthday on Saturday and I turned 50. I don't like to be the center of attention so I didn't say anything............but I'm saying it now so maybe I do like to be the center of attention...........but I threatened my children with DEATH if they threw me a surprise party so maybe I don't like to be the center of attention..........I truly don't.

2. I once had a dog named Tippy who ate all my Barbie's and friends. Or maybe they were my sister's Barbie's. Anyway, he didn't touch Ken, which proves that men can be annoying.......

3. Linda asked me what my husband's expensive hobbies are so I will share. He flies a real airplane, a 1946 J-3 Cub, he flies remote control airplanes (he "picked" one up the other day and it was $750), he deer hunts, he turkey hunts - which he says is basically ONE hobby because it only takes one change of clothes and one gun - ya whatever, he golfs (that one is okay), and he farms - which also is probably not a hobby since it is our living, but farming is not a money making thing - you do it because you love it. Again whatever......:)

4. My office is a freaking mess....

5. I like to type with dots..............I define them as pauses for effect lol!!, or thinking.........

6. ...............................

7. I am addicted to "America's Next Top Model"...............oh ya.........

I never tag anyone else because I would have to tag EVERYONE!!

But honestly, if you would like to be tagged, consider it done!!

Oh yes, I do have a blogaversary that has passed by. I am going to do some blog candy and I will give lots of time, so you don't have to keep coming back to see if I have it posted or not!! I feel bad that I haven't done it yet, but I am still catching up from vacation...........(those dots are for effect)

Birds of a Feather and Tagged again.....oh my.....

Blog Candy a few posts down......I'm drawing tonight for a Little Paper Shop "Just Bee-Cause" stamp set!! You will love it!!

Well, because of this nutty computer, I had a too much trouble getting onto the Papertrey Blog Hop last night but I will post my card anyway!

Transparencies were the order of the night, and I had just received my pack of transparencies from Cornish Heritage Farms so I was in!!

This did not start out as a 4 x 4 card, but it seems to be the only way to get the effect I wanted! So 4 x 4 it was!

I used Papertrey Ink's aquamist cardstock as my card base and glued a piece of 4 x 4 Everyday Blessings designer paper on top.

I cut a piece of 4 x 4 transparency and stamped it in black Staz-on with Birds of a Feather hummingbirds.

The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Everyday Blessings stamp set.

After adhering the transparency to the front, I tied a bit of May Arts swiss dot ribbon around the edge to hide the little (kind of) transparent glue dots.

Very simple and pretty!

I wish I could have got on the blog hop, but I think I will still add my post to the forum! ugh - computers - can ya tell I am a little peeved???!!

My SBS2 sister, Becky has tagged me!! I think this is a new one to me so here it goes!!

Seven Random (Weird) Facts about me!

I have been tagged by Danielle from Wild Dragonfly Designs! Check out her blog - absolutely wonderful creations!!

I never used to like doing these tags but they are kind of fun to discover things about each other!

Okay here it goes;

1. I am so deathly afraid of spiders. I almost pee myself. I usually grab a shoe and slam it down on the spider, all the while shrieking loudly, and then leave it there until hubby comes home and deals with it....

2. I only have nine toenails.....gross - I know....but I did NOT have a fungus or anything, it just died because .....

3. I broke my leg in the barn 3 years ago when 6 sheets of 4' x 8'- 1" thick plywood fell on the back of my leg. ( I am giving you the measurements so that you will know how heavy it was and feel sorry for me....) I was the only one in the barn, so I had to crawl out from under the plywood to the phone that was up on the wall. The broom was right there so I hit the phone with the broom handle and it fell right next to me (thank goodness-no further crawl/dragging)

4. Since I was 11, I have had 10 dogs in my life. Tippy the Beagle, Heinzy Sam, Spitz the Samoyd (sp?), Randy-the most beautifulest black lab, Scorch- he was a bad dog, Stan the biter- he never bit us, Winnie the Poodle, Queenie our border collie and of course Rosie-osie-osie!! I forget the name of our very first black lab (in between Spitz and Randy). We only had him about 10 minutes when he got hit by the neighbour (she drives very fast).

5. I can absolutely, not even wait for spring to come so that I can go golfing!!! I LOVE to golf!!!

6. I am going to be 50 years old this year and I am sooooo happy about that!! Some people don't get the opportunity to be 50! - so think about THAT! LOL!

7. I am going to let my hair go gray starting from the last time it was coloured.....I don't care! The older I get, the more worried I am about putting chemicals in/on/under my body - wine doesn't count either......

Well, that is another tag done and it really wasn't so bad! Sometimes I have to reallllllly think hard......

Okay I am tagging Marcie, Becky, Savitri and Alex

Here it goes......

1. I LOVE lime. I love the color lime. I love the taste of lime.

2. When I was 10, I had a rabbit named Henrietta who lived in a cage outside in our backyard, during the warm months. One day when I came home from school, I found out the neighbour boys had poked her to death with a stick! nasty boys....

3. I would golf everyday, if our weather permitted.

4.My favorite movie is Gone With the Wind, my favorite book is "The Vines of Yarabee" by Dorothy Eden.

5. My hubby and I have been married 28 years - to each other!! Every year has been the best year so far.....here's to another 28!! LOL!

6.There are very few people, who really know me, that know I have this blog. I mean all YOU guys know it, but none of my friends or family know it. Well, except for my mom, but she probably forgets, my daughter does know and my hubby knows and lets on he doesn't know!! There could be one other person, but I'm not really sure, so I'm not going to mention her.

one more, one more, one more

7.I used to make jewelry, so I had a ton 'o swarovski's around here. I quit doing that though because now 95% of beads are made in China and therefore made of lead - I don't need any more health problems (and I am not whining just stating a fact!)

I've Been Tagged.......

Yes, I've been tagged - and I want to thank my dear, dear, dear, friend SBS sister Aimee! who was gracious enough to comment on my blog, and then tagged and ran...... :)

I mean who ever thought this game up really has too much time on their hands...........Okay, I am grumbling, but actually in secret

I am thrilled to be tagged!! because it means that someone thinks enough of me to do that to me ....er....for me!

These are the rules of the game:

Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.

Okay, here are my 7 random facts about me!

1 - The meaning behind the name "The Lucky Clucker" is that on October 25, 1995, I had a liver transplant due to a condition called sarcoidosis which usually attacks the lungs but on me it got my liver. Every day is a blessing and everyday I thank God for my new chance at life! So I am not really Lucky - more Blessed - but "The Lucky Clucker" sounded better......

2 - I was hypnotized to lose weight - yep - last January my hubby and I said enough is enough and we went to a hypnotist - I have lost 30 lbs and he has lost 35 lbs. So it works!!

3 - I love licorice allsorts - not the cheap kind either - has to be the best - and I can tell the difference......

4 - Okay, this one might be obvious but I am obsessed with chickens! I was collecting chicken "stuff" before there was "chicken stuff" to collect.....

5 - I married my high school sweetheart! I know a lot of you have. We met when I moved here in Grade 10 from Woodstock, Ontario. I used to sit with him in the back seat on the school bus (the bus driver lady would yell at us from time to time.... hee hee)

6 - I love to curl - no, not my hair - but on the ice competitively! Some of you may know what curling is and NO! IT IS NOT BORING! HMPH....in the words of Stamping Bella

7 - I am VERY competitive....I will deny it but if I play a game of Scrabble, or golf, or CURL with you....I really do hope that you do well and have fun, but make no mistake --I am secretly hoping that I win.....sorry about that.

So there it is.....seven facts that I am mostly proud of...some not so much....!

Now to tag others.....I don't know if you have time or not but consider yourself tagged....
